The Chartreuse Classroom

Today was the first day of school! Honestly it was pretty stressful because I felt fairly unprepared, which is never a good feeling as a teacher. But we made it through the day and hopefully we had some fun, too! I'm totally drinking tea (in a chartreuse mug, no less!) and eating a well-deserved chocolate, though! I also wanted to share my finished classroom with you. These are actual photos at the end of the day. So forgive the mess, but I wasn't going to do any more work! Haha! I made quite a few dramatic changes to my classroom set up this year. I switched over to flexible seating for almost all of my seats. This includes many options for seats including: crate seats, bean bags, pillows, yoga balls, standing table and a few regular seats, too! The seats are also in rows right now, but I'm not sure I am going to be able to keep that much longer. We'll see... Since it was the first day, the students just kept the same seat all day.
